Tucker-Castleberry Printing adds new "hi-tech" bindery equipment in 2007.
2/1/07 Tucker-Castleberry Printing installed two new pieces of equipment in it's bindery
to improve productivity and increase capacity.
The first was a new 45 inch POLAR 137XT
cutting system with autotrim, air-flow,
stacklift, jogger, scale and transomat
offloader with waste removal system. This
new system doubles our trimming capacity
adding to our present 1998 POLAR ED137
system which is identical.
The second piece of
equipment added was
a continuous feed MBO
B30S 664/C 30" x 50"
perfection buckle folder.
This new machine
has a "navigation control
system" with touch
screen. All fold possibilities
are preloaded from
the MBO folding catalog,
plus the capacity
for an additional 200
folding configurations.
All settings are saved
in the computer, the operator simply has to access the desired fold pattern and the
computer automatically presents the folder . . . in less than 30 seconds. So make-readies
that used to take an hour or more can be done in less than five minutes!
Both pieces of equipment are JDF compatible.
